Downtown Vero Beach’s newest art space
We are the only gallery in downtown Vero Beach, FL in which the artists are working in a studio attached to the exhibit space. Veritas is also unique in that it is a gallery, an art studio that is connected by an art book library. Veritas means “The truth” in Latin which refers to the large and wonderful art book library attached to the gallery. Many people do not realize that the name “Vero” is derived from “Veritas” as well.
Why Gallery Veritas?

We think we’ve created a unique and dynamic environment here, and we’d like to invite you to come experience it! Wander through the gallery, library and studio, take it all in, and we feel you’ll draw inspiration and joy from our art. It’s our mission to lift the energy of downtown Vero with our creative space. Gallery Veritas & Art Library is connected with Studio on 60, a multi-artist studio currently hosting seven painters. The gallery will show the work of these Studio on 60 artists as well as guest artists throughout the calendar year.
Library
The Art Library is Vero Beach’s only art book library which spans the entire history of art from prehistoric cave painting to the most cutting-edge contemporary art of today.
This art book collection (a few thousand in total) was formerly housed in The Vero Beach Museum of Art, but when they wanted to do away with it, Xaque Gruber rescued the entire library and brought them to this new space so the world can benefit and enjoy them.
Library hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays, from noon until 2pm, or by appointment. Members may borrow up to 5 books at once for up to a month.
We invite you to apply for a Veritas Library Card! Certain books are reference (to be only used in the library).
